DONAN is simply made from the fossilized coral ore deposit found on Yonaguni Island. Chougen Yamakawa, the company CEO invested several inland fossilized coral ore deposits in different regions/areas and found the best fossilized coral ore deposits on the specific area on Yonaguni Island.This area was formed by the corals, which were alive in the 3rd Interglacial epoch, approximately 72,000 to 150,000 years ago. This fossilized coral has been well preserved and been calcium carbonate of the first-class quality. Also, the fossilized coral is an aragonite-type and it has not completely been calcite. Such perfect calcium carbonate is rarely seen in the world.
What makes DONAN special is that it contains 73 different minerals and trace minerals, of which calcium is the highest concentration as 40%. DONAN is a calcium supplement made from Yonaguni Fossilized Coral pulverized into a fine powder with granules no greater than three microns.
